Unless you are planning a high-budget wedding (80k+) with multiple different locations, usually the most efficient way to go is with the planners that work for/with the venue or are suggested by them: they'll know everything about the place (and what to avoid), they usually live in the area, and you won't have to pay extra travel fees.
- Because once you've chosen the location it's easier to find local planners that consequently know local vendors well — and will save you a lot as a result. Distances in Italy are perceived differently than in the U.S. or other countries: what you think might be close is usually in an entirely different region, and you'll have to pay extra travel fees.
3. Underestimating Guest Travel Logistics
Many couples focus on the wedding day and forget about their guests' experience.
Ask yourself:
- Which airport is closest?
- How long is the transfer?
- Are taxis available?
- Do guests need rental cars?
